Office Visits

Why do some people prefer Office Visits instead of House Calls?

Some people feel more comfortable meeting in an office setting because it offers a neutral and consistent meeting place away from everything. Many people look forward to taking distance from their daily surroundings, allowing them to reflect and gain perspective about their life and circumstances.

How do office visits work?

1. Once you decide to begin with an office visit, please call 805-284-1783 or send an email (bimbela@bimbela.com) with your preferred meeting time. It would be helpful if you have at least three different times in mind.

2. Prior to meeting for the first time, please read and sign the confidential form (consent for evaluation or treatment) and complete all the assessment forms before you arrive to the office (I will have extra copies if you forget). Please try to complete the forms before you arrive to the office so that we have more time to talk.

3. We will meet for 50-90 minutes for the initial visit and then either 15, 30, or 50 minutes for follow-up visits.

4. During the first meeting, we will review all the treatment options and then you decide what feels right for you.

5. Regardless of whether you select office visits or house calls, you have the option to switch at any point.

Canceling Appointments

Please call with a minimum of a 24-hour notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours remaining until your appointment, there will be an administrative fee.

Urgent Care

After we meet for the first time and begin working together, please leave reason for calling/contact information and I will return your call as soon as possible. If you require immediate attention, please call 911 or go to the hospital emergency department. If you need assistance between the hours of 7pm-8am, you will need to call 911 or go the hospital emergency department, especially if you need immediate attention. I do not provide any hospital inpatient care at this time.
